Why is an Instagram account important?
Instagram is often the first place pilgrims check to see:

if a place or service is open

what it looks like

and if it feels welcoming and authentic
If you don’t have Instagram – or your last post is from months ago – pilgrims have to make an extra effort to contact you.
If there is a nearby alternative, you may lose that guest or client.
An active Instagram account serves four main purposes:
- Show that you are open and ready to receive pilgrims
- Present your service and show why pilgrims should choose you (especially important if you don’t have a good website)
- Share up-to-date information
(e.g. “closed for winter until…”, weekly menu, special notes) - Create visibility, especially for new or lesser-known places
Why Nicoletta?
I am not a social media expert and I haven’t studied marketing.
But I know the Camino spirit and I work with pilgrims every day. I know their worries and their needs. I have tons of photo and video material from the Caminos that I can use. I am a pilgrim. And a Camino Planner. And as a little side job, a Social Media Manager.

FAQ Camino Social Media Management
Do I have to provide the content?
Yes, but only partly. The content is a mix of
- Everyday moments from you
You’re on location. Just capture small moments from time to time and send them to me. - Great photos and videos of your place or service
Ideally, we create these together.If you are on the Camino Português between Porto and Santiago, we can usually find a way that I can come by and shoot material myself.
If you are further away (e.g. Basque Country), we can work with your own material or find a local person who can help with shooting
- Camino content from my own archive
From your region or Camino context, to enrich your feed.
Is there a contract or is it month to month?
There is no long-term contract.

You can cancel anytime to the end of the following month.

You can also switch to the smaller package for a while and go back to the normal one when the season starts.
Do I get an invoice?
Of course.
I am a registered freelancer in Portugal.
You will receive an invoice, and I pay taxes on every cent.
